Getting to know Ilha do Mel
Ilha do Mel is an ecologically preserved area on Paranaguá Bay, in the Paraná Coast, South of Brazil.
Along its 35 km in length we find beaches with different characteristics, as hills and rock formations.
Although most of its territory is covered with woods, it has four small villages: Fortaleza, Farol, Nova Brasilia and Encantadas.
Nature and the Villages coexist harmoniously: there are no streets, and motor vehicles are forbidden in the Island. The main transportation is the bike. But, the villages have electric power, piped water system and commerce.
